Colorado's Famous Coney Island

This is a must! This is a fun place to go and enjoy a good dog too. This was a happenin' place. It's a perfect place to go for a quick get away in the mountains. It's right off of the 285 in Bailey and there's even a sign on the side of the road for Coney Island. You can't miss it.

The Wards said...: Gosh, you step away from the computer for just a couple days and then you come back and realize you've missed so much. (Not referring to you, but ME!!!!)

I LOVE fall!!! We have already taken a drive in the canyons to see the leaves changing colors and I LOVE the beauty of it all.

Thayne also loves throwing things, but unfortunately we haven't been to a river with rocks, so he still is using toys and random objects. Bet Kaleb was in heaven!!!

Your boys are so cute and you are a sweet mom. Just looking at these pictures reminds me of what a great example you are to me!!! Love ya!

P.S. I used to hate hot dogs, but then I grew up. Now, I love them and think it would be worth a trip to Coney Island if not just for a good hot dog!!!!; October 7, 2008 at 8:00 AM

Moments of Joy

I absolutely love being a mother. I am incredibly blessed to have two sweet boys. Lately my 2 yr. old has been singing songs and saying so many new words. Here's a list of some things K. has done or said lately that have made me laugh.

1. The other day E. said something like "I'm getting so old." K. immediately sang "Happy Birthday to you..."

2. I was in the bathroom and K. asked me if I was going potty. I answered, "Yes I am." His response was, "Thanks for telling me."

3. I was fixing my hair the other day while K. played next to me. He said, "Mom it looks good."

4. K. has been singing so much lately. His favorite songs to sing are- Scripture Power as he holds his arms up high as if he's holding his scriptures, Follow the Prophet, Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, and many more. It is so precious hearing him sing.

5. During his prayer the other day K. said, "I'm thankful for mommy, daddy, Igaac, Paleb, Tarzan, Nephi, President Monson, daddy's basketball shorts, and my blue basketball shorts!"

6.The other day K. was sitting on the stairs for his "time out" (or time to think) and I asked him why he thought he had to sit there, and he looked at me and said, "Ummm probly go on a walk, it's a beautiful day." I had to chuckle!

7. When K.wants me to do something for him he always says, "Put brother down right there..." One time he said, "Put brother down on the carpet right now!"

8. Yesterday K. said, "Igaac's a big boy, Paleb is a big boy and Mommy's a big boy."

9. K. is full of wonder. I love it. Whenever we are driving somewhere, he always says, "Mom, did you see that?" He knows the stores we go to. Whenever we are by the Home Depot he says, "There's Home Bepo." When we go to Sam's Club he says, "The tire store!" Because everytime we go there he goes to see and smell the tires. He's fascinated with tires-and anything with wheels.

10. On our trip back to Boise, we saw a diesel with some cows in the back of the trailer. A few minutes later K. saw some cows on the side of the road and he said, "Hey they got out!"

11. We were playing downstairs the other day and K. was going upstairs and he said, "Mom, can you take care of Isaac for me?"

Yeah, yeah, I know that I think everything K. says is cute and funny, but I hope you get a laugh out of these too.
